I'm with the rest... take the $8500 and focus on next year's boating season and getting the 250 weekender up to par!!!

If you found a sucker to pay 8500 for that boat sell it. I have put at least 3000 into a boat that probably won't sell for more than 4500 but it is nice and I did all the work myself.I did it for me and not what I hope to get back when I do sell.

Not to be harsh but you must have some idiot buyers in your area. I juat bought a 23' Rinker yesterday for $4800. It is bigger newer and almost half what you are asking. Before that I bought a 23' Galaxy for about a grand. Needs the interior gutted but still its less than 1/8 what you are asking. I think you get the point. Here you could easly get two early 90's and still have room for a nice older trihull. I see the exact same bots listed everyday and the prices keep dropping and droping. If you don't sell it now I wouldn't expect anymore offers in that range for months and months if ever. Even then do you think the guy is serious? Not many people with $8500 to spare on a 20yr boat in Nov. Plus they get the added joys of having to store it all weekend.

i personally don't think any one was harsh. they are just telling the truth. i agree in any other market it is way over priced. here you would be lucky to get $4,000.

what you have into it, is recreation dollars, which you never get back. write it of as fun and entertainment.

I know what you are going through....regardless of where you are in the country it sucks trying to sell a toy right now for a reasonable price. It is a buyers market for almost everything. I am in NC, around Ft. Bragg/Pope AFB and the economy here is pretty strong due to all the soldiers and airmen but people still will not pay even NADA. If you don't need to sell it right now, don't do it!! It is an older boat now, so what is a few months going to hurt? People will not pay that much less for a boat that is just one year older when it is already that old. Mine is a '94 but I will gladly wait until spring if that means the chances of me getting around my asking price, increase. I know you want money to put in your new one, but just nickle and dime throughout the winter and get a good price for your old boat. Don't get taken!!! All it takes is for the right person to see the add. It is NOT worth what PEOPLE will pay for it....it is worth what a PERSON will pay for it. Also, advertise it in several classified listings. Craigslist is always a good option but also ebay and any local classifieds. Good luck! Don't settle!!

I just noticed that you are in Seattle...that is where I am from...the military brought me to NC. Does Seattle still have "The Little Nickel"? When I sold off all my cars and toys before I shipped to boot camp, I sold them all through the little nickel. That was before craigslist was popular though, so it might be different. You should also post it in a paper that publishes down by Ft. Lewis and McChord AFB. Troops have a lot of green in the bank when they return from a deployment and don't mind spending it...trust me

I would sell it in a heartbeat for that kind of money. Don't know how long you have owned it but if you are getting out of it what you paid for it (when the market was good) how can you not take that? The $1500 you will NEVER get back, just part of boating. Plus you will now have 2 boats to winterize, cover, store for 5-6 months. Sell it and move on can't cut a fat rat on every deal.
