Trying to pull the powerhead off my 85? Johnson 20hp.. got the linkage off and the 4 bolts and 2 nuts from studs removed from powerhead base but it wont budge. Am i missing something or are they just stubborn?
Did one the other day.-----Gently pry up on the block to free it.---If it does not come loose then the driveshaft spline may be rusted solid in the crankshaft spline.---Try removing the lower unit first.
