Trying to identify an old mercury outboard

I have recently acquired an old Mercury Outboard Engine. The Model # is KD4 and Serial # is 122178...Does anyone know the year and HP rating of this engine? Also any info on locating parts for it would be appreciated...Thanks!

According to oldmercs.com, it would be a 1946 model. 6 HP.

They carry some parts for it.
