who thinks this may work? .... instead of mounting it "up" under a truck .... it gets mounted "down" on the front of the bow? may take care of some of the shorter shafted transom motors issue .....

i just got an ole Grady White Tri-hull and like many others with bowriders, i don't want to totally/permanently sacrifice the bow to a trolling motor, transom mounted motors are cheaper, so i am looking for a solution to mount a transom troller to my bow ....

sorta like this .....

Doubt it'll work, even inverted the tred on the step is laying horizontal. Not so good for mounting a trolling motor to it.

Plus your gonna have to drill holes anyways to mount the step.

don't you always have to drill holes to mount anything?

it seems as if the step is adjustable in it's position

The step is way below the top of the bow. How would you tilt the motor without hitting somehing. They may very nice pontoon mounts for that can be used in this application..
