Trouble Installing Carb on 1968 Evinrude Fisherman 6HP - Throttle Lever

Some member, eventually, will take some very carefully planned pictures of their 1968 6hp Evinrude/Johnson in great detail, leaving nothing to the imagination and resolving all doubt as to what goes where..... Just a matter of time.

Check with dealerships for parts of old engines in their junk engine section... also the non dealership outboard repair shops.

Well, I can't find one of the cam links (part 312830) to save my life. Even places that showed they had one didn't when I called.
So...
1) If anyone knows of a place I should try, pls lmk
​2) As it looks like I'll have to fabricate one, can anyone help me with 1) the measurements of one you have, and/or 2) tell me if, when the tiller throttle is in the off position, the link is under neither tension or pressure (in other words, it's just resting there). This second question may help me if nobody can give me dimensions.
