Trouble hot starting

2001 250 EFI Saltwater series 0T090962.

Ran for 7 hrs yesterday no probs whatsoever, fished all day ran smooth through all rpms. Came in to grab some beers turned motor off couldn't get her back started? Had spark, fuel, and compression. Completely baffled, any help... I've been hearing a little about this VST, any thoughts?

Should mention too, after numerous attempts at starting, I noticed an enormous fuel smell and what appears to be fuel coming out of my lower unit. I can hear the fuel pump engaging as well when I energize the key.

Not that anyone cares, but I figured out the problem!!

A 2000 Mercury 250 EFI 2 stroke WILL ONLY RUN ON CHAMPION QL77CC'S!!
was running NGK's no bueno...

suck it!!
