Trouble connection , New Simrad NSS EVO2 GPS and Garman Gladiator TR-1 auto pilot

Any help appreciated
I am at a loss as to how to interface these two components. Via the backbone with a NMEA 0183 - 2000 converter OR through the Radar Processor OR through Video DATA input. I thought this was going to be an obvious connection but......

I am soon to be tackling the AIS unit connection as well.

I would do it thru the 0183.
