trolling motor

has anyone mounted a trolling motor on a tahoe deck boat, its a 215 and looking for some ideal, freash water motorguide front mount, yes it on the front right if you are facing the boat, any pictures of one mounted,thinking of hanging it to the side ????

I mounted a motorguide wireless 75 on my 216 using aluminum plate. I believe I used 3/8 plate and the rubber is 1/8. All came from mcmaster Carr for about $65. I put 6 3/8 bolts through the plates and the deck.

The power is pretty good. It will move the boat faster than I can fish into a head wind. It will also leave the kids behind when they are swimming. The only thing is getting use to the steering of the wireless. I tend to wonder all over because I over correct.

That makes sense, can see where it would take awhile to get used to.

Now looking at the WT 216, heavier boat. will have to do some research......,.
