Trolling motor toss up

I have little foot room in my Lund Fury 16 ft fishing boat. Am looking at a hand operated bow mount motor. I need 45 lbs + 45 inch shaft. Motorguide+ Minnkota each make one. Anyone have an oppinion as to which is a better product. I'm sure their both good but any features or things I should know about would be helpful.

Well.................. I got the MinnKota, but I'm not going to enter into this fight.

Does the MinnKota have a handle that extends? I've notice that the handle rotates or pivots but I could use just a little extention.

I have had 2 Minn Kotas #30 tiller and Power Drive V2 auto pilot, they make a quality unit and they support them well!!! They do not have an extending handle but they have a fixed extention that you can buy.

That's correct I believe, an 'extended handle' is an option, available on their site.
