Wow that's great. The foot pedal has a 12/24 switch on it. Nothing on panel. There are 3 wires from the trolling motor and its a 3 prong plug. I have a 3 bank on board charger that does the two trolling motor batteries and starting battery. The trolling motor batteries are older, 3 years, and nvr worked as good as the previous batteries that were in there for 8 years. Or so it seemed. Am I correct that if my on board charger is showing green on all three batteries then there should be enough juice to see if trolling motor works? Thanks a lot!
QUOTE=Silvertip;4219402]There are two wire, three wire and four wire systems. How many wires are there from the batteries to the receptacle? How many wires in the cable between the motor and plug. Does the boat have a panel with a 12/24/Run/Charge switch. Is there a 12/24 switch on the motor? Details, details, details. But if I had to guess, your system looks like this based on your limited description. Red to black = 24 volts. Orange to black = 12 volts.
