I'm looking at getting a trolling motor for my 81 ranger and i'm not sure what length shaft i should look at, i'm looking at a 50lb trust minnkota bow mount, it will be used mostly on the mississippi and lakes.
Go to the MinnKota web site for instructions. However you can measure from the bow of the boat to the water line and then add one foot. Too long is not an issue. Too short is an issue.
