Trolling Motor height on Pontoon Boat

I just purchased a Minn Kota V2 bow mount trolling motor. Can anyone tell me the recommended depth it should be below the logs? I got it used but in excellant condition but no instruction manual came with it. Thanks

Depth is not critical. Adjust the depth so the prop doesn't come out of the water on moderately rough water.
