I'm interested in boating down the Chatahoochee River from Columbus, Ga. to Apalachicola, Fl. I will have to go through three locks. Any info on what is needed to go through these locks would be helpful.
When are you planning to go? I've been planning a similar voyage through the locks on Lake Seminole to Appalachicola. It got put off due to the St Augustine Get Together. Any chance of joing us? Gonna be an incredible time. Check out the thread. I'm at work right now and need to get off the computer, but I'll be happy to look into the info for you when I have an oppertunity. Have you tried Google yet?
Aviator Jim started a similar thread last year. Search Chatahoochee and you should find it. I think there are a few links which will help.
Hey guys you may want to check the viver depth readings once you pass the lock in Chatahoochee, entering the Apalachicola River. You can walk accross in some spots. the river is extremely low right now. They havent dredged it in a bunch of years.
