trim won't go down

First time out this spring and the trim is stuck at full up/trailering position. Solenoid clicks when switched up, no sound and will not go down when switched down. I replaced the solenoid on advice of a friend, and problem is the same. I also checked and I do have 12V on blue with switch in up and 12V on green when switch is down. I added a little oil but did not want to add too much because shop manual says to add to top of fill with trim all the way down, but I can't get it to go down. Still no movement down and no clicking or other sound when switched down. Any ideas what to check next?<br /><br />This is a Glastron 1975 with a 140 Merc I/O stern drive

Blue wire is up trim switch, green wire is down trim switch. If you have 12 volts to each, replace the solenoid on the green wire. Sounds like you replaced the solenoid on the blue side.
