Trim up won't work without using overide switch

My trim up function stopped working earlier this summer. But if I use the overide switch for tilting its work fine, trim down works without problem. I have a Volvo Penta 4.3 Gi with DP-S drive with trim limit. When a press trim up there is a yellow lamp lightning at the trim limit but nothing happens, but when pressing both trim up and the override switch (a red lamp lightning at trim limit) the drive comes up. Is there something wrong with the trim limit and I need to replace the hole unit?

Sorry to say, you have a system that Volvo doesn't even like to talk about in the manuals. It's not even shown with your type trim pump and system in older or newer manuals.
Here is about the only info I have ever been able to find on that system.
http://www.4shared.com/document/Ru8O26hN/Setting_trim_limit_on_black_bo.html?
and the service bulletin below.

My first thought would be to check the trim sender on the stbd side of the gimbal ring.

Don,
When I checked my old warranty card (I found it at last...) there was a model no. 4.3Gi PBYCCE and serial no. 4110159680, could this be of any difference?

Nothing different from what I linked to above.
