1993 johnson issues

I have a 93 150hp johnson fast strike, having problems when running wot
the motor will start to cut out and will have to reduce speed. Then it will not get back on plane without cutting out, about a year ago I had too replace both rectifer and stator, once I did that it ran better than it has in along time, took out the boat this year and it started doing this problem again does anyone know what could be the problem.

I have a 1990 gt 150 it was doing that, and I had to change the vor fuel pump. But I am not sure if your engine has the same pump. Could be a carb problem.

check fuel tank vent, make sure it is clear. has anyone ever tried pumping the fuel line bulb when it was doing this? is it running hot? could be going into safe mod.
