Any of them will work, pick one. I seldom go with the cheapest of anything, because that is usually what you get......... the cheapest in all aspects, but that's up to you.

Ok...I did a little research on my boat.

A guy who owns a marina in the midwest owned the boat. The original engine (volvo) blew. So he replaced it with a Mercruiser 420 but left the volvo outdrive and apparently wired the fuel pump this way.

And I have now been told that the holley carb is automotive and not marine...not sure if this matters or not. (it of course has a flame arrestor)

I got the boat at a great price and the interior is in great shape. So I don't mind putting a little money in it. And the kids love the cuddy.

I may call the guy who owns the marina and ask him why he did it this way (if he can remember back that far)...mainly the wiring of the fuel pump and carb selection...what do you think?

The carb, fuel pump, lines, distributors, alternators, starters, and a few other things are requiered by USCG regulations to pass certain specs. All these are to prevent fire and explosion. Which is not a problem on an automotive engine because it's all open underneath. If you get a fuel leak with your carb, or fuel pump, and they are automotive, they can leak fuel into the bilge (not on the road) and fumes will build up. Then you get a spark from an unsuppressed starter or alternator (automotive are not spark safe) and you have one heck of a fire and explosion. Even with just a fire, a fuel pump that won't shut off and keeps pouring fuel on a fire.............. See where I'm going with this?
