Placement of the control solenoids for the tilt trim motor in a WIDE OPEN engine compartment turning a ten minute job into a hour and a half PITA ordeal. Whats do these boat manufactures do, design with the intent of inflicting as much pain and suffering on the Marine Techs as possible??:confused: You Pros must have the patients of of a Saint. You gott'a look at some of these lay outs, shake your heads and say WTF.......On the bright side, just by reading some pertinent post here on iboats I diagnosed the problem and corrected it myself.:D:D

That's the important thing- imagine all the cuts and scrapes after an incorrect diagnosis....
Maybe they engineered in impending difficulty to make sure we think it through and diagnose correctly before we begin.. :)

A engineers job is to design something that it works as designed in the space alloted along side a hundred other things some other engineer designed.
They dotn care abotu HOW its gonna get fixed when it breaks. Thats not their job. My buddy cusses out engineers all the time. hes a transmission guy and he said somethimes he jsut looks at a car and knows its gonna ba a PITA.
I usually end up cussing out architects.
