trim/tilt issues

can someone help me with my trim/tilt problem? first off when i push the T/T button nothing happens except when i manually push it up then it will slowly engage and move it, i can here the relays click, but nothing happens, i replaced the relays and i still have the same problem. What can it be? Whatever your suggestion is can you tell me where it's located on the engine also. Thank you

first make sure your fluid is full , and not milky from water, and make sure your battery is fully charged.

then i would check all the connections for corrosion. then check the resistance to make sure they arent crystalized (burnt looking and black). then make sure the trim motor has no water in it by removing one of the screws in the side............... i got water in mine because it got crushed a lil by accident then it died. when mine died it would just click but even if you helped it along it stil wouldnt work.

there should be a manual release valve on the starboard side (right) transom bracket. stay clear of the motor as it may drop fast. dont turn out the screw over 1-1.5 turns as you may damage the threads on the snap ring located jut in front of the screw.
