Trim tab annode

I just installed a 4 blade prop on my Alpha-1 (Generation 2) outdrive yesterday, and it doesn't clear the trim tab. Can I just cut down the existing tab, or should I buy a flat one? Thanks.

If you have power steering, you can cut it off. Otherwise you may be able to notch it to allow clearance.
