relays are identical . in this latest picture one is flipped 180 degrees pin 87 is the actuator pin from the up and down switches +12v supply and pin 86 is the ground side of the coil

blue -white and green -white are the "activate" wires to energize the relays.. one at a time resulting in battery/ground reversals to the motor
to go up or down.

unless the OP has testing knowledge & tools for testing electrical circuits may as well just find & try new relays or take it to the shop.

so far we have few answers on the model info or test results

It just happened when I was putting it away for winter-The last thing I did was to fog out engine-trim motor is 4 years old and has been working fine until the other day.

The only trial and error I did not attempt and should have was to replace both relays with the exact same company since there are several companies that make this relay. The trial and error concept was on post ten.

These relays were used for about 25 years of production.-----That creates a " demand " for replacement parts.-----Companies step up to make them.-----Many electrical parts are replaced in desperation , looking for a fix.----These relays each are less than 20 minutes shop time.----Factory ones are very reliable too.

Is this a fault that just happened or is the motor new to you and it's been like this since you
Long story short-Trim relay is out on down cycle[just clicks]- swapped working relay from up cycle and now down trim works. The challenge now is finding a relay that works. The original is a siemens- so far I have tried a tyco which came in a evinrude johnson package[does not work] next was a sierra [does not work] the part numbers are a cross reference to 586224 both relays are supposed to be the correct replacement[both just click like the non working siemens- any idears or other company possibilities. At a loss and I can not find a siemens relay.Thank you Andy
Mystery mostly solved-I assumed at least one relay was working since the tilt went either up and not down or vise versa when I switched relays old to old and then old to new- however having same problem.I then replaced both with new and problem solved-not sure why but it now works. Thank you for advice -money saved-Happy New Year!!
