I have a 1996 Johnson J40TLEDS. It is a new rig for me. We tested the boat and the trim switch worked fine. The next outing it still worked. Now it doesn't work. The switch on the engine works. I took the wires a part and crossed them between the control box and the motor with no response. I understand that there are two relays. Could one be shot? Could I switch them out to test this? Are these the small square components on the starboard aft side of the engine? Other ideas?
