trim motor issue

Have 2004 Mercury 60 Hp 4 stroke....having problem with trim motor staying on while being trailer outside....I have boat cover and two brand new motor covers....problem occurs when there is rain or dampness...taken it too dealer where he changed wire harness and put some grease around gaskets.
I have taken hair dryer and blown relays just in case..unplugged and reconnected relays but problem still occurs....anyone had this happen or any suggestions

Do you have one of those thumb toggle switches for the trim? If water gets into them it will raise the trim motor. The cure is to disassemble and clean the contacts. Also make sure any drain holes are clear.

Thanks....do have toggle switch so I will clean out and hope that does it.....
