I have a 1996 Cobalt with a 5.0 Liter engine and Volvo duo prop drive. The trim gauge has quit working and I am looking for suggestions on what the problem may be. The gauge will not move from the almost full up position when the key is turned on. The drive unit moves up and down with the throttle control buttons and goes to the full up position with the trailering button. The gauge will not move from the up position, but when the ignition key is turned off the gauge does move to the far left as do the rest of the gauges. I am thinking maybe a sending unit, but have no experience with gauge problems. Any help would be appreciated.
