I have a 1992 75 hp Merc Outboard. I just bought this boat used and I don't know any of the previous service information. Does anyone know if it is necessary to check/fill/or change the trim fluid. If so, is this easy to do? Thanks in advance

Top off the PTT unit with fluid occasionally. Tilt the motor all the way up and remove the resvoir cap. Wait a couple of minutes and squirt in some marine PTT fluid or Dextron III ATF. When it overflows, it is full. Recap and enjoy

Its not that easy, you need to bleed the system too.

No need to bleed the system. The newer generation of trim systems (such as yours) are self bleeding. Run the system a few full up/down cycles and it will bleed itself. A whole lot easier than the old style I'm dealing with myself where I need to bleed both sides of 2 cylinders :(
