I'm about ready to install my transom assembly and wanted to ask if someone would be so kind as to take pictures of theirs so I can make the connections correctly.
Thanks 😊

I am trying to remember, but I believe there was a stainless wire that was screwed to the tiller bar and had a larger eyelet crimped on that goes under one of the 7/16” studs that secure the inner transom plate. Then there should also be another wire from the engine block to the same stud.

Thanks Kenny for the response. The OMC manual I have shows a couple different examples which were vague especially in the last picture.
Looks like it goes under the trim cylinder cover (PO had it that way,) which didn't make sense to me till I found the other diagram which shows them under the bellows and water hose clamps.
I took it apart 2 years ago to rebuild and figured I'd remember but just another example to take pictures regardless 😊

The last picture is an example.

best advice ever. then post the pictures in your iboats thread so when your phone has a melt down (and you did not back up the data), you can at least come here and look at your own pictures.
