I recently replaced the powerhead on a 1988 90-horsepower 3 cylinder outboard. The motor kicks right over and runs fine, but the idle is too high.. The problem is the motor won't start or run unless the trigger is moved to the right (advanced timing). When I try to line up the throttle arm and trigger arm linkage into the proper resting position, the motor dies. Any suggestions? Thanks.
