Its always good to shoot trespassers that you can invite to a barbeque.That is, as the main course not the guest of honor! Btw, just what kind of critter is that? Its hard to tell from the pic,that and yall got some strange critters down thar in Texas.

It's an Axis. Very good meat, and the cool thing there is no season on them. They be year round critters.

yes He is axis I had 3 in my grain field , they escaped high fence I guess. I dont need them , verry prolific breeders, some say they will cross with the local whitetails, I donk know if its so , but for sure he wont. 27" tall x 23" wide.Younger son shot him with 204 ruger, bullit exited with a 1.5" hole. that a varmit rifle, I apears they are very thin skined game. I would estimate body wt at 80# on the hoof.

IMO the sik fooks who import animals for the bleu bloods to kill because they want a "safari" without werking for it suk. People who kill penned animals for bragging rights are sad sobs.
