Transom

I am wondering how much the transom size varies on older evinrudes. I need one for a 40 horse so does the transom have to come off a 40 or can it be off of a different hp motor? thanks

Umm, the transom is part of the boat, you don't change those. Please be clearer in your question.

I think he's talking about the mounting bracket on the motor that hangs the outboard on the transom.

Sorry about the poor explaining, the mounting bracket that connects to the transom is what I am wondering about.
