Regretfully I found iboats after my new stringers and floor were installed by me. I had some great advice from our local fiberglass company and that turned out very nice. But after reading about floor issues and then transom issues I figured I better check. What I found was that the wood in transom is solid but WET, I am not going to do any fixing this year because I spent most of the summer last year doing the floor and stringers. I think I will pull all the hardware off the back of the boat and reinstall with new sealent. Crap!!

Re: Transom

that's a bummer... Sounds like to did good on the stringers and floor; kudo's! If you were able to tackle that I don't think that you'll have any probl's with the transom when you get to it... When you rebed everything I strongly recommend 3M 4000 or 4200; avoid silicone like the plague! Spring is here!~ Kinda...
