I am looking at replacing the transom on my 73 Winner cougar 18', I understand this was built using a box stringer system which means the deck, stingers and hull are essentially one piece. Since the deck is fiberglass also, it is solid. Has anyone dealt with this system to figure out a way to replace the transom?
