What type of plywood is best for a transom replacement? Obviously it has to be marine grade, just looking for plywood more specific

Marine plywood just has ext. glue. Whatever you do, seal it. Get your pieces cut and fit and ready to install and coat liberally with 2 coats of epoxy. Just use the 2 part stuff like you were doing fiberglass with matting. just use the 2 part mix and let dry between coats. It will be good to install/ paint as needed to match.

Don't use epoxy. Your boat is polyester.. you need to laminate it with multiple thicknesses.. read the stickies.. also your stringers are probably shot. Do those too

Read the stickies. You need to get multiple thicknesses of plywood to make up 1.5 inch or whatever your original transom is. You use either polyester resin or you can use PL Premium or 3m 5200. It's all In the stickies for restoration
