Ive got a 1990 four winns freedom 190 with OMC motor and lower unit. The transom is rotten so before I removed the rotton transom I measured it and it was 1 1/2" thick but everthing I read on here and everywhere else I get different thickness anywhere from 2" to 3". Right now I have 3 pieces of 1/2" plywood glued together so if i add the 1/4 thickness of the hull and after I glass it with 1708 and chopstrand does anyone know if im going to be at the correct thickness for this boat or should I add another 1/4 of plywood?

1 1/2 doesn't sound right. It is always 2 or 1 1/4, was the transom rebuilt before? Try posting this question in the OMC forum or PM the moderator jbcurt00 to move the thread for you. Good luck

LOL ... I was a Stringer guy. You didn't even need a transom :)

As I understand the OMCs post 1987, the keyhole is almost just like a Merc. Transom should be 2" to 2 1/4". I think you need at least 2" to get it to seal.
