I have my boat in storage and cannot get to it currently. I have it for sale, and someone asked me the transom height of the boat. It is a Smoker Craft Magnum 161, 1991 model. I have all the important info written down except for the transom height. I am thinking it is 20", but that is a guess. Can anyone tell me what the correct transom ht. is for my boat? Thanks in advance.

Model # of your motor ?-----Most V-4 Johnson / Evinrude motors were 20" from about 1970 to last production.-------Some were also 25" but not that many , on inland waters.------The 25" models were popular for offshore type boats,------Have a 1998 Johnson V-4 in 25" myself.

Google is your friend...search for the Smokercraft catalog for 1991. Once you have that, find the manufacturer specs for your boat.

Just out of curiosity, I did just that. Your model is listed in the catalog and transom height is marked "LS", which I presume to be "Long Shaft" and likely 20". A quick review of the catalog did not find the "fine print" definition of what "LS" meant. However, smaller boats were listed with "SS" which I presume is 15".

Thanks you guys. I really did search it out on Google and I know the info is there somewhere but I certainly did not find it anywhere myself. Thank you!
