Transom Fell off my 2007 21 foot Suntracker Fishin Barge HELP! Need Ideas to remount

Were you using a transom saver? Or are they a bad idea on a pontoon?

They are a good idea on ANY boat.

The only Tracker Pontoon I'm familiar with came with a TS as std. equipment.

Was never told to use a transom saver. Also took the pontoon to the Tracker dealer and he said the way the boat is built when you do it could put more weight at the front of the transom So its a toss up he said Some do and Some dont use it

Yes the straps are how I tie the boat down. Lucky if I would have tied it a different way it would have all fell off

If the transom failed due to a manufacturer defect then a transom saver may have prolonged the inevitable, or sped it's faliure up even. Really sucks that it broke. Makes me take note in case we ever go to a pontoon to check the motor pod out really carefully.
