Transom Drain Not Going All The Way Through Transom

I just glassed in my new transom 2 sheets of 3/4 ply 1 1/2 thick. The drains I am looking at, the kind with the screw in plug, do not go all the way through the transom. The old one I took out was only 3/4 inch long which is why my transom rotted out at the bottom. I found one at boaters world that is 1 1/4 long. Has anyone found one longer? What are you guys installing in yours, I mean most transoms are at least 1 1/2 arent they?

i prefer these, that way you can seal from inside and out.

Ya don't need anything but what will bolt up on the back. Drill/holesaw/ream out a touch more so ya can slather in a bunch of 3M 5200.
Do a little measuring from the inside if you can get at it...(you can probably do this all at once, same size..??..need room for the 5200 anyway) ..then just stuff a piece of copper pipe, PVC, whatever, and coat the wood good first, slather the pipe in to cover the rest. Just 5200 the crap out of it. Shove it in from the inside.
Then keep an eye on "dripping" of the 5200.....takes a good 2 weeks to set up...
Run a rag through to clean up the inside of the tube, and clean up the threads..and "eye" it for drips (plug ya up) for a week 'till it sets...

I dont want the kind that takes a rubber plug I dont trust them. I want the type that takes a scew in pipe plug. But I cant find one that goes all the way through my 1 1/2 transom.
