4200 hardens, over time and it makes engine removal very difficult. 5200 remains pliable. I use 5200.

WRONG ..both the same..4200 fast cure (if ya got a week)..5200 after 14 days?..guess ya never used it...get a "sazall" out

I think it's the other way around, 4200 you can remove screw put in with it (I have) 5200 is the 'permenant' one. I have used it on a lot of things and it works well.

we might be going in a circle
link indicates polysulfide would be best to use

what is brand and where to get?

Polysulfide is very messy to work with. Stick with the 4200.
Just to clarify, 4200 is the more temporary sealant and it comes in regular and fast-dry. 5200 is much more permanent and also comes in regular and fast-dry versions.

I've used 5200 for everything. No problem backing a screw out OR a motor bolt. If 5200 is used to seal/mount anything to a deck or bulkhead, yes, it will be harder to remove than if you used 4200. The nice thing about 5200 is that it's slower drying and will find it's way deeper into the core before it hardens, thus providing more water intrusion protection if water gets past the outer seal for some reason.
