Transom Bolt Pattern

I have a 1967 model 80 hp Johnson Super Seahorse. Thinking bout buying a newer utility boat. What i need to know is, is the bolt pattern for the motor mounts universal for newer boats?<br /><br />Hunter

for newer boats yes. and also for newer motors. i a m not truly sure about your 67 omc motor though. i know all the newer, say 1980's and up at least, all have the same BIA bolt pattern, that is if you switch from a 1984 suzuki to a 2003 evinrude etec, it'll use the same bolt holes.<br /><br />so, go measure your bolt pattern now, if the bolts are 16 x 13 center to center, than you are good.
