Transom and gimbal mounting

I have. 1989 wellcraft. Replaced the transom completely. When I cut the hole for the gimbal housing and then I drilled the holes to mount it. When I sanded the inside edges for the hole one my my holes doesn’t have a lot of space on the hole. Will one hole hurt a little if not completely round or is there. Way to add 1/4 back to it

Ayuh,..... It'll probably be just fine,.....
It's the clampin' force to the 2 housings that holds it all together,....
