Transducer mounting question

OK , as I see it I've got 2 choices for where to mount my transducer on the transom. The red boxes show my locations. Do you think the upper one will work or will it possibly be out of the water at high speeds ? I added thee red squares to show you where I'm thinking. Here's alink to the pic Yahoo Photos

I think you have to go with the lower one if you want any chance at highspeed readings.<br /><br />

QC is right,The lower one would work best.

I just mounted the transducer inside my new boat. Works perfectly. I'll never go back to a sleezy, intermittant, low speed only, week clogging, transom mount. Humminbird exchanged it for free.

I know but my transducer reads temp also - so that's out.
