Transducer install

Looking to install a transducer from my Humminbird Helix SI fish finder. After reading the manual I am still unsure exactly how to mount it on my transom. The angle it needs to be etc. The angle will change if the boats sitting one way or the other in the water. Is it most important to just make sure it's as level as possible?

The angle it needs to be etc. The angle will change if the boats sitting one way or the other in the water. Is it most important to just make sure it's as level as possible?

Needs to be facing straight down and straight (not flat) with the bottom of the hull. The transducer needs to be in clean water coming from the hull, don't put it close to the prop. Here is a good link
