Re: Traitor or Idiot?
I was mistaken but the spirit is correct. Saddam and his seven co-defendants could face the death penalty if convicted for the 1982 massacre of nearly 150 Shiites in the town of Dujail.

JB I may be in a party of one, but I am ashamed of the OJ trial. It wasn't justice. It was a show or carnival. A guilty man walked, a man was slimed, and a family gets no justice.

By attempting to redirect the focus by defaming the coalition figures how into this case? We didn't get there for 9 or 21 years afterwards depending on what your perspective is. Therefor his comments are relevent to the case in no way. And that is why he is there. To deal with the facts of 1982. If he wanted to change the focus why attack his country and try to make the trial procedings invalid based on some unsubstantiated conspiracy? What would you do if a white man was on trial for crimes against a black man, and the lawyer spewed all kinds of racial comments and stereotypes right out of the KKK playbook, then pointed to the ensuing riot as justification for the original crime? Would you consider that zealous defense or racist obfuscation?

Therefor it is my contention that he is pandering to the lowest form and putting lives at risk without any legal basis (traitor), or is severely mentally challenged (idiot). Seems you and I are going back and forth, but that is how I see it. That wouldn't make my post childish. Remember he equated our troops to terrorists. Many of these so called terrorists were not even born in 1982.
