I have a 14 (70" beam) jon boat on a magic tilt et-14 trailer and fish mostly in backwater. I pick-up with winch avoiding getting bearings in saltwater. The little winch is tough to crank particularly as I get older. Is there a mechanically advantaged winch (not electric) that would mount and be easier to crank?

Yes. I haven't seen them for sale, but I have seen them on trailers before. They are a 2 speed variety if you will. The winch handle is a quick release type, and there are 2 places to winch from. One is for high speed, one is for more power. You have to winch for a longer time on the low speed one, but it is physically easier. Kind of like a gear reduction.

I have a gear reducion winch on my trailer. One speed it about average, the other is much slower but much easier to crank. It came with the trailer, but you should be able to find one at a trailer shop.

I bought a crank winch at WalMart. I use it to pull my 1500# boat & trailer out of my narrow driveway 20' to the street.

It may be all you need.

These might be a little overkill for your rig, but it would make things easier.

Found 'em right here on iboats.

2 speed winches

Put a longer handle on the winch. Cheapest way to increase leverage.
