Trailer ID

I recently purchased a 1986 Larson DC-230. I do not believe the trailer is the original. The trailer has a Shorlandr sticker and the paperwork says Shorlandr also.
I got in contact with the trailer guy at Shorlandr and gave him the vin. He says this trailer is not a Shorlandr as my vin starts with 1YR and they use 1MD.
Any help would be appreciated finding the correct manufacturer of this trailer. Thanks in advance.

If the title VIN and VIN on the trailer match, legally it's a Shorelandr.

But a VIN beginning with 1YR is for a Shoreline trailer. DMV's aren't always on their toes.
