trailer for my 14' polarkraft (help please)

Bought my 1st boat, a 14' polarkraft 1460, got a good deal on it nd picked up a cheap trailer in which I thought I could just add brackets and bunks. Having some trouble figuring out a way to do it...a buddy of mine says I bought a canoe trailer! Any info would be great.Thanks.

Is the trailer a hommade trailer? It definitely looks like something for a small boat which includes canoes, kayaks, etc...maybe a jon boat. You still may be able to use it, and add keel rollers and bunks to support the boat. You have to figure a way to add side support.

Where do you hail from? If you're nearby, I might be able to give you another option. But you would have to PM (Personal Message) me.

You should be able to make it work. Lack of any suspension would bother me.

I'm in N.MI. If I were closer to Chi town I'd take you up on that help. Figuring out the side support is the problem. May have to have a short cross section welded to add bunkers...or may just try to find a trailer that's meant for small alum boat. Wanna have it ready for the summertime!

Yeah, I think you'll be better off selling that one for whatever you can and getting another one. Even if you can do it all yourself, parts alone will run you at least a couple hundred bucks to do it right, and it's bound to need at least some welding before it's all said and done.
