Nice fix, looks great.

Not trying to be picky, didn't see work gloves, guard on the grinder, hope your wearing safety glasses.

And no handle on the grinder! That is not a one hand operation. Next time you need to be more careful.

Re: Trailer Crossmember

Next check the underside of the tongue. My last trailer was aluminum with stainless steel cross members and a galvanized tongue. While at my mechanics a boat on the trailer came in on a flatbed as the tongue buckled in the middle due to rust. Mine looked fine UNTIL the underside was checked and it was very thin from rust. Water must have set there after splashing!

Thanks for the advice I just did a few min ago, take a look to the pics, no need to change for now, anyway have a spare tube ready to install.

And here is the one waiting its turn......

Re: Trailer Crossmember

If you are doing many cuts, get a metal chop saw from harbor freight. Way easier and safer than using a cutoff blade.

14" Cut-Off Saw - 2 HP

That one was the tool the guy used @ the iron shop; use to cut both CM (5ft each) this is the perfect tool for this cuts, also more faster than a 4.5 disc grinder.

I just did over 4 or 6 cuts with mine, only one disc in all this job.

No Sir, we dont have any Harbor Freight around.
LOL...didn't notice your location!

Amazing a steel shop uses a hand held grinder to cut steel.

Well...just be safe. Use gloves and a handle next time :)
