Tractor steering problem

So I have this old Jinma tractor . Front loader, box blade , bushhog attachments . It runs ok other than it needs new wiring , gauges ,and leaks fuel from some fuel lines ..
The steering seems to be messing up . It will turn to the left with no problem then when you straighten the wheels and try to turn right it will stop and hang up . If you ease back left then turn right it will turn the wheels right in small increments.
Hydro is full and the loader and trans work fine .
Do I have a gearbox going bad on the steering wheel ?

Sounds like it. Is there any play in bearings or steering linkage?

I guess better that than the hyd pump .. was talking with my neighbor and he said he had and old MF tractor that would do the same when the fluid would get real low . It leaked pretty badly .
Would turn left fine but would lock up going right .
Gosh I so much other stuff going on now I hate to have dig into this thing . I know a mobile mech I may call to work on it ..
