I'm restoring a 1989 Bass Tracker Tournament 17 V, it's a work in progress. I'm having a problem finding a (seems like) very hard to find part. At the end of the gunnel on the bow there's supposed to be a heavy metal cap, the same material as the one's on each corner of the stern. Hoping someone can help me find this part. One from a 1988 thru 1990 deep V will work. Thanks for your help.

Gonna be a tough one to find...not going to be many in junk yards and new replacements are not availiable as mfgr date is to old. Most are cast aluminum, if you have a local foundry, one can be replicated, or if you have acess to a local machine shop, one could be CNC machined. Some folks have built a nice wood deck over top of them and some folks have actually made replacements from nice pieces of wood. Just some food for thought if you can't locate a replacement.
Good luck !!

there are a few salvage yards. green bay propeller may have a tracker as they were big on lake michigan. but you have to walk the yard. it would be easier and quicker getting two made at your local aluminum fab company

since white water marine is still making trackers, you can also check that route, however you are talking a boat that is nearly 40 years old.
