I was driving a Tracker 17' 90HP aluminum boat. I was driving it about 15mph and hit a rock. One of the blades on the SS prop was bent about 1/4-1/2 inch. I am being told that the replacement is $150 and that makes sense to me. However, they are saying that the prop shaft is damaged/bent and that the cost would now be about $1000-1300 to fix. They also said it would be a special order part and would take the entire week of my vacation to replace. Does that sound legit?

Thanks for any help

Re: Tracker prop

Welcome aboard.

Yes if you are having to work done .......... it is legit. HOWEVER you could purchase an entire SEI lower unit, a manual and a prop for about the same amount of money and have a 2 year warranty with that. Look up SEI Marine and look up your entire lower unit.
