I just went and looked at the boat.
The electrical was done by someone that did not have a clue.
The motor is a newer 9.9 electric start no less. Pricey
I don't think it has had much use.
Maybe I will make him an offer later today

a complete electrical system on a tinny with minimal lights and controls is about $200 in materials, $20 in beer and a bit over 8 hours of work.

offer the guy a stupidly low price

Spnet my life maintaining electronics on the fast attack subs for the Navy as a civilian so I know what all needed to be done and how to do it. My problem is why should I do it? At 77 I don't really want to do the work and there are lots of boats for sale around here.

On the "I don't want to do the work" at 82 I am coming up with the same conclusion on a lot of things. But I have to have something to occupy my time so I am selective on what I choose to invest my time and withering body abilities.

Yes my main problem relates to spinal stenosis they call it. Makes it really hard to bend or even walk distances at time.
But life goes on!
